How to find out what apps a Shopify store uses

Most Shopify apps add a script, a widget or a tracking pixel to the storefront. Those traces tell you which apps a store runs.

Fastest: a detector

By hand

1. View the page source (Ctrl+U / ⌥⌘U).
2. Search for script hosts. Common ones: klaviyo.com (Klaviyo email), judge.me, yotpo.com, okendo.io (reviews), rebuyengine.com (upsells), attn.tv (Attentive SMS), gorgias (support chat), connect.facebook.net (Meta pixel).
3. Search for shopify-app-embed or /apps/ to find app embeds and app proxies.

What no tool can see

Apps that run only in the Shopify admin (inventory, accounting, fulfillment dashboards) or only inside checkout don't load on the storefront. Any tool that claims to list them is guessing.

Why it matters

• Competitor research: the stack shows how a store converts (reviews, bundles, loyalty, SMS).
• Agencies and app developers: find stores missing a category you sell, such as stores without a reviews app.
